Article Submission – Get Fresh Traffic To Your Website Now

Monday, March 31st, 2008

Article Submission Software that actually works? I was a little skeptical, and i have purchased plenty of aditional software and read that articles are definately the way to go to build traffic to my website. I had been writing articles, but really felt that this idea was a horrible one and the reality was that my articles would never get placed.

OH BOY WAS I SOOOOOO WRONG!!!

I had looked into different ideas, toyed around with a few article submission packages. I spent a bit of money on a package (that i will not name), but it was the most expensive package out there. I like the idea of unmanned instant article submission, but this package ended up mixing my information up in the search engines. For the most part it was ok, but on a few important sites i was disappointed that my ratings ended up not at my expectation.

So, i needed a manual submission process that wasn’t so manual, and an automated submission process that wasn’t so automated to where i could preview my submissions before they where submitted. I didn’t want to actually have to type the information at every site, but i did want to be able to glance over the info to make sure that the information was correct.

So after looking around at the software i found Article Submision Pro. This software gave me the best of both worlds automatic and manual submission.

ARTICLE SUBMISSION WORKS!! – Yes it does!!! There isn’t a choice whether you should or shouldn’t submit articles. The choice you have to make is are you going to:

1.) Spend all your time searching and creating a way to submit your articles in a systematic fashion.

2.) Pay a directory and submission service company up to $50 per site to manually submit your articles.

3.) Make a purchase of a piece of software that can submit the articles for you, the software i use is called Article Submission PRO, and i even used it to distribute this article that you are reading now. Free Traffic is the way to go.

Ford Sets Forth Its Safety Recall

Monday, March 31st, 2008

Ford Motor Company in connection with its endeavor to promote safety and protection among its vehicle users has announced that it will enhance its 2005 speed control. Said safety recall will include certain speed control-equipped gas or natural gas 1994-2002 F-250 through F-550 F-Super Duty trucks, 2000-2002 Excursions, 1994-1996 Econoline vans and 1996-2002 E-450 vans, as well as speed control-equipped 1998 Mountaineers and Explorers. According to the automaker about 1.2 million of these vehicles are presently used in the United States.

“Today’s action includes those vehicles that were identified as having a interaction issue between the speed control deactivation switch and the brake system that could, in rare cases, cause the switch to overheat and ultimately catch fire,” said Ray Nevi, assistant director, Ford Automotive Safety Office.

During the previous year, Ford conducted a recall of about 5 million vehicles to affix fused wiring harness to the speed control deactivation switch. This was done to get rid of the probable risk of fire if the switch leaked. Said harness stops electrical current caused by the leak.

“Following last year’s recall, we indicated further analysis would continue to determine what vehicle characteristics were contributing to the potential for switch leakage. After a year of intensive research, including working with NHTSA’s engineers, we have concluded that certain factors on the affected vehicles may lead to the switch overheating,” Nevi added.

Leakage may be caused by overheating. Failure may also be a result of repeated high vacuum events. Moreover, to solve the potential predicament facing vehicle users, the automaker has prepared sufficient supply of Excursion Ford parts wholesale, Ford Econoline Van parts, Ford F350 Super Duty pickup parts and more parts to cater to other mentioned vehicles.

The upcoming safety recall includes orientation of the switch on the brake master cylinder and frequent high vacuum events at the switch because of the typical brake system operation.

Hurricane Season- How to Survive

Sunday, March 30th, 2008

Most researchers who study crisis will tell you that the reason people die in a crisis is because they PANIC. This is true of people lost in the woods, capsized from a boat or stuck in the middle of a hurricane. Your brain is your best asset in such a situation. Yes you want to be optimistic about the outcome. At the same time, you have to be deadly accurate in appraising the current minute by minute situation that you find yourself in.

Let’s take Hurricane Katrina as an example. I have read accounts of smart, sophisticated businessmen who were stuck in the city for the duration. Did they act any differently that many of those who perished in the crisis. You bet they did.

One businessman immediately went to one of those 24 hour places where there was still some items on the shelves. He was able to buy cans of beans, nuts, limes, a small bottle of bleach, several limes, and several liters of water. In a crisis situation, water is more important than food. Your body will last several times longer without food, than it will without water. Normally four days is about it for water.

People have been known to go for weeks, even more than a month without food. The body simply uses up the fat stores in your body. This is one of the few examples we know of where the fat guy wins. The reason for the bleach is that by adding two drops of bleach to a gallon of water, it begincomes drinkable. It won’t be the best tasting drink in the world, but it will allow you to survive. Put a slice of lime in it to make it more tasteful.

Wherever you find yourself stuck, you need to fill every object that can hold water with water. Fill bathtubs to the top, and sinks too. Open the refrigerator and you’ll find plastic drawers. Fill those drawers with water and put them in the highest location in the facility you are in. We are talking life and death; you have to start thinking to survive. While that gentleman was in the store looking for items to help him survive, other people who weren’t thinking were buying gum and cigarettes. You can guess who perished in the storm.

Start looking at anything, and everything that you can use to survive. Wood floats, find wood. You need rope, or some kind of object that can allow you to tie things together with. Strips of sheets will do, curtain ties, or bedding could work. A knife certainly comes in handy. Matches, flashlights, warm clothing, anything that you can wrap yourself in. Is there a can of paint around, and anything that can be used as a brush. You might need to paint the word “HELP” on a roof, in order to be rescued.

Warren Buffett the best investor in the word says that it’s even money that this country gets hit with a nuclear weapon in the next ten years. Since he owns one of the largest insurance companies in the world, it’s his responsibility to weigh out such risks.

If you have a car, never let the tank get down to empty. Keep it at least half full, and don’t be afraid to store 10 gallons of fuel on your property. If the electricity goes out for whatever reasons, the fuel pumps at most gas stations will NOT work, which means you can’t get gas.

While we are on the subject of cars, do you keep any emergency equipment in your trunk? Do you have a first aide kit, if not, why not? You need a flashlight, and some life saving clothing. I keep super thin rescue blankets in the trunk that will help you contain body heat if necessary, and act as reflectors of sunlight during daylight. They are no bigger than pack of cigarettes when folded up.

Now back to our Katrina victims. Our friend, who found himself alone and stuck in a hotel in New Orleans, decided to find another person who was in the same situation as he was. This allowed him to pool the resources of two people together. It gives you twice the brainpower, plus whatever the other person brings to the table. Do not pick someone who is going to be a drag, and a drain on you. This will only add to your own difficulties.

A bank card allows you to withdraw cash at an ATM machine. There are always limits on bankcards. You need cash to survive in a crisis. Call your bank, the number is on the back of the credit card and have them increase the amount you can withdraw. This is an emergency and the bank will accommodate you.

Phones that need electricity will not operate in a crisis. Forget portable phones, they will be dead. The electricity will be out. All analog phones will continue to operate. The phone company does not depend on electricity from the local utility to operate their phone lines. You are not going to believe this, but in the master plan for nuclear war drafted by our armed forces during the cold war, the plan called for AT & T to remain operational during a conflict. Orders would continue to go out over the nation’s phone lines.

Finally during a crisis like Katrina, you need a plan, and you need to constantly be re-evaluating that plan. Keep calm, don’t make life and death decisions while fatigued, that will get you in trouble or worse. Just keep revising the plan for what is happening in real time. Try to have contingent plans in your mind for possible changes taking place. Stay CALM, keep a CLEAR HEAD, and you just might have some story to tell your grandchildren.

In my own work running money in my firm, and picking stocks, I am constantly getting hit with unplanned events happening. Pipelines going offline. Oil supplies collapsing, weapons of mass destruction that aren’t there, CEO’s having heart attacks. You need a diversified portfolio to even out the risks, and you need to stay calm to figure out if the investment is still worth keeping. It’s just like being in a hurricane.

What Is Hybrid And How Can It Benefit You?

Sunday, March 30th, 2008

With gas prices on the rise and no relief in site, many people are starting to consider the advantage of owning a hybrid vehicle. But what exactly is a hybrid and how can it benefit you? First you should know that hybrids are actually much more common that you might think. For example, many commuter trains and city buses are electric-diesel hybrids. Many types of industrial heavy vehicles are also hybrids such as mining trucks and even submarines.

So the definition then of a hybrid is any vehicle that runs on not just one, but a combination of two power sources. So why should you buy one? Let’s consider the advantages.

Hybrid cars are energy efficient. They are affordable and they are a workable way to deal with our energy situation and are therefore worth supporting. They have small efficient gas engines that work in combination with an electric motor. The two work together, the electric motor recharges while the car is in motion. Efficiency is then maintained by aerodynamic styling, lightweight material, and intermittent engine shut off.

Intermittent engine shut off comes into play when the car is stopped for short periods such as a stop light. The engine then shuts off and kicks back on when the gas pedal is depressed.

Lightweight building materials are used to make the hybrid more energy efficient and emphasis is placed on aerodynamic styling to reduce wind drag. Hybrid cars use low rolling resistance tires which are unique in that they are narrower and stiffer and have a lot less drag which adds to the energy efficiency.

Hybrids are also better for our environment. They emit 97% less emissions than regular cars and have roughly the same amount of carbon dioxide. They get far greater gas mileage and are equally as safe to drive as non hybrid cars.

Hybrids also drive the same as regular cars so it is treated in the same manner; nothing new to learn specific to the handling of a hybrid. Owners of hybrids may also be entitled to incentives. These vary from state to state so check in your area to find out what is available. One blanket incentive is a reduction in federal taxes for hybrid owners.

Upgrading Your Diamond

Friday, March 28th, 2008

As the De Beers advertising campaign states, “A Diamond is forever”, that does not necessarily mean it is forever on your finger. The beautiful and well intentioned diamond you were given upon your engagement may have sentimental value but there is nothing wrong with upgrading to something larger, a different shape or adding side stones to your current diamond somewhere down the road.

My first piece of advice is to go shopping. Go to as many local jewelry stores as you can and try on a variety of rings. My experience, after being in the diamond business for four years, is that many women think they want a particular shape of diamond based on what they have seen in magazines and on television but in reality what looks good on their particular hand could be totally different. The biggest challenge in shopping is that most jewelry stores only carry rings in a certain size. There might be fifteen rings to look at but the majority of them are a finger size six. This is ok if you have a smaller finger size but can be very frustrating if you have a larger finger. It is so important that you are able to try the ring on and know that the ring will be comfortable to wear all the time.

Once you have determined the shape of the diamond you are interested in do some research into color and clarity. For a round shaped diamond starting with at least I color and SI1 clarity is perfectly fine. For a fancy shaped diamond I would suggest at least H color and VS2 clarity. Above all make sure that you are looking at certified diamonds. Most jewelry stores will tell you that the diamonds in their cases are certified but in fact they only have paper work from the store not from the GIA or AGS. Ask to see the certifications and if they say you can only have that information when you purchase the diamond run out of the store quickly. The diamonds could be any color, clarity and carat weight that they say and you would have no idea what you are actually buying.

A big question is what to do with your current diamond. Clients call us everyday wanting to sell their diamonds and there is really no good outlet for that kind of sale. I would encourage anyone to either incorporate their diamond into the new ring as a side stone or turn it into a new piece of jewelry in the form of a pendant or earring.

Jewelry is meant to be worn and enjoyed. Keeping a piece of jewelry in its current mounting, that you feel is outdated, so in turn you never wear it, is such a waste. Using the diamond in another way preserves the sentimental value and gives you a new piece to enjoy and cherish.

Is Your Harley Davidson Ready For Sale

Friday, March 28th, 2008

What if there will come a time when you have to sell your Harley-Davidson? You do this maybe because you want to buy another, newer model or would like to buy a much older, harder to find one. You can come up with unlimited reasons why you have to sell your Harley-Davidson of course. But with all these, have you asked yourself: “Is my Harley-Davidson ready for sale?”

If your answer is “maybe”, “I don’t know”, or a definite “no”, follow some tips below and you will surely get your Harley-Davidson sold in no time…

Do the aesthetics.

If you are a buyer, you simply would like to buy a Harley-Davidson motorcycle that looks great. Since the exterior is the very first thing that a costumer would look at when buying a Harley-Davidson or any vehicle for that matter, you should pay attention to it before anything else. You can look on the weak spots of your Harley and make changes on it. Dents should be removed. Rusts should not be in any visual. Dusts should not sit on corners. In short, your motorcycle must be clean on the outside. It will not only give your potential buyer the impression that you maintain your Harley very well, it will also increase the value of it.

Do the inside.

Some riders buy Harley-Davidson for its sound and engine performance. So, you have to keep the sound as Harley as possible. If you can, maintain the original sound of your Harley. Sell your motorcycle by promoting the sound and the engine. In other words, if you have a great Harley sound, you are one step closer to the sale.

The price.

The price of your Harley-Davidson would either depend on its current market value or on how well you maintain it. Set the price which is very attractive to buyers but not necessarily cheap. Price should always be reasonable.

The receipts.

If you happen to do some changes or replaces some parts that have to be replaced, you should compile all the receipts of these and present them to the buyer. Receipts are your supporting documents when you sell your vehicle to the potential buyer.

Remember that when you follow all these, you get increase your chances of landing at the best sale possible. Though these would help, you have to remember that working to achieve it relies on you and you alone.

Plus Size Lingerie – Not Grandma’s Muumuu Anymore!

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

Rejoice ladies, the designers are getting it – larger women want clothes that are truly made for their size but that also look good and fit their lifestyle. And not just work clothes, or jeans and t-shirts, but sexy, expressive plus size lingerie too!

And it’s no wonder since women naturally know that clothing is a form of expression, of reflecting on the outside what you’re feeling on the inside. And there’s very little that speaks more loudly than lingerie!

But it’s not just sizes that have changed over the years. Lingerie, of all sizes, has come a long way since being worn as “foundations” as our Grandmothers used to call them. In fact, their long ago functions often are not the reason behind wearing it at all these days.

I spoke to a friend of mine recently who despite not always being happy or comfortable with her larger size, shared an interesting thought with me about plus size lingerie, “when I wear good quality lingerie that fits me, that is actually made for my size, I feel sexier and in some ways more powerful. First of all, when I used to think about wearing lingerie, I would envision trying to stuff myself into something made for a very thin girl, like the fashion models in most of the pictures, and that was not appealing to me at all – and the image I had would not likely be appealing to anyone else for that matter! However, once I discovered that there is nice, quality lingerie that actually fits me, is cut and designed to really fit me and my curves, in all different styles, it was a different ballgame all together!”

She went on to say “I finally realized whether you are comfortable with your weight or are planning on losing, or for some people, gaining – this is the weight you are today and there is no reason that you shouldn’t express yourself right now, where you are, in all different ways – dress to enjoy your body – decorate it, embellish it, drape it in clothes you love and that make you feel good. Whether that’s a big, cozy sweatshirt today or plus size lingerie tomorrow. There are days that skinny girls don’t like their bodies either, or don’t like the way something fits them, I don’t think that’s something that is exclusive to big or small girls. But on the days when I’m feeling sexy or maybe needing a little help feeling sexy, I’m very glad there is plus size lingerie available that fits me well!”

“The best part is that it seems that the assortment of what is available just keeps getting better. There is now plus size lingerie in all materials from lace to leather and in all different styles including corsets, teddies, bustiers and babydolls. It’s great to have a whole variety to choose from – especially if you’re talking about expression. I mean let’s face it, satin and lace say one thing while leather lingerie says another altogether! I like it all – it’s fun.”

7 Do’s and Don’ts for Positioning Deck and Garden Gazebos

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

One of best ways to extend your outdoor living space is by adding a gazebo. These pretty outdoor structures were originally used in Victorian times to shade fashionably pale ladies from the sun. Now they’re being turned into everything from cozy eating areas to kid’s playhouses, and getaway spaces to meditate.

But why is it that some gazebos blend so naturally into the backyard like they’ve been there forever, while others look stiff, awkward and stick out like a sore thumb?

The secret is in the placement! Positioned correctly, your gazebo will add dimension to your landscape. Positioned incorrectly, your gazebo will make your backyard look disjointed and junky.

Here are some do’s and don’t to help you get it right!

1. Do Place Gazebos at the End of a Path

Gazebos look wonderful and mysterious as a termination point at the end of a garden path. Visitors get the wonderful feeling that they are being drawn into the backyard and that makes it feel inviting and cozy.

2. Do Choose a Spot Close to Water

If your home is on a lake or pond, take advantage of it. Position your outdoor gazebo on the point that overlooks the water.

You could also try placing your gazebo near a backyard waterfall or a trickling fountain and enjoy watching the birds splash about. Or how about by your pool?

One family I know built a patio gazebo at the deep end of their rock waterfall swimming pool. It was designed so that you could easily remove the railing on the pool side and dive right off the gazebo into the water.

3. Don’t place a garden gazebo in the middle of your Yard unless you have a very large backyard.

A gazebo in the middle of a tiny yard will look like it’s been dropped from outer space and will overpower the yard, but as the centrepiece of a grand estate, it can anchor and unite the space quite beautifully. It’s all a matter of balance.

4. Do Take Advantage of a Raised Area

To enjoy picture postcard vistas like a beautiful sunset or bird’s eye garden view, take advantage of any raised area in your yard.

One couple I know built an outdoor gazebo high on a terrace overlooking their jungle-like backyard and used it, not only for dining, but for dancing in the moonlight.

5. Do Place Gazebos on Decks

If you are looking for a little shelter, then a patio gazebo nestled in one corner of your deck can complement it beautifully. It can also help to break up what can be a long, boring space.

One backyard I toured had a gazebo on the deck that was used for dining. The ceiling of the gazebo was decorated with dozens of miniature white Christmas tree lights for a starry sky effect at night.

6. Don’t Place your Outdoor Gazebo too far to one side of the House

If your beautiful garden gazebo is not even part of your view, then why bother to spend all that money to build it? Also, too far to one side can make the yard look lopsided if you don’t balance the rest of the yard with some landscaping or other structures.

Off to one side will work o.k. if your gazebo is still partly in sight and there is a good reason for it to be there. For example, if the gazebo is placed nearby a tennis or bocce ball court, it can be a place to sit and watch the game. It can also hide something unattractive that you really don’t want to look at like

7. Do make it the Jewel in Your Garden

Another great place for your outdoor gazebo is smack dab in the middle of your garden where you can turn it into a quaint tea room or cozy reading spot. Not only will you able to enjoy looking out at all your magnificent flowers, but you’ll be able to enjoy their beautiful aroma too.

So remember: For perfect deck and garden gazebo placement, plan ahead. Know the reason for placing your gazebo where you want to put it. When things make sense your garden design will flow beautifully.

Preparing Your Vehicle For A Cross Country Trip

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

When traveling across the country for a vacation or otherwise, it’s important to ensure that your car is in good working order. In the following article, we’ll discuss things that you should check out about your car before you take any long trips, ensuring that you won’t encounter problems while putting your car through this prolonged stress.

Check all the lights in your car. If there are any dead bulbs, replace them. Also, be sure to clean the dirt off of your headlights, taillights, and break lights. Remember that out-of-state police officers don’t tend to take kindly to those with out of state license plates, and keeping your car in proper working order is of the utmost importance.

Check your windshield wipers. If they streak, or they’re getting old, they may cause trouble should you encounter rain on the road. When in an unfamiliar territory, it’s important to have the clearest vision you can while driving.

Check the battery. There’s nothing worse than ending up with a dead battery in an unfamiliar area, and it’s a problem that occurs often. If the battery is over three years old, or causes the car to crank slowly when starting, it’s time to get the battery replaced.

Check your tire pressure. Wheels go through extended wear when taking a long trip, and they are more prone to blowouts when not properly inflated.

Check your engine’s hoses and belts. If they are cracked or chipped, get them replaced to ensure there won’t be any trouble with them.

Make sure all of your car’s fluids are topped off. Be sure to keep extra coolant and oil in your car in case the trip brings the levels of your fluids down.

While driving the car at home, take note of the temperature gauge. If your car’s engine is heating up too rapidly, it may overheat on a long trip.

Get an oil change. Fresh oil will help ensure that your engine is running smoothly and properly.

Take your car into your local mechanic and have him give it an inspection. There are parts of the car that you cannot properly examine yourself and it is important to ensure that your car is in perfect working order before taking any sort of an extended trip.

Get a spare tire aside from the donut that comes with the car. These spares can only last up to 50 miles, and when in an unfamiliar area, it may be a while before you can find a mechanic. Getting a tire that matches up with the others that you have on your car is of some importance.
